As Long as This Life Lasts
I am going to walk all through and around
the temple of my love
I have left my name at the gate to enter unguarded
to pay my reverence to the goddess there
all the natives who long for her
they learn her name only as obsidian
and for that, surely
they glance over their bare shoulders
after the intimacy of her eye
yet they linger beyond her opening
but it is I
blessings be
that has the honor to pull off her armor
and it is I
blessed indeed
that she allows
to walk between her pillars
to tend the first leaf on the divine tree that is love
and it is I
blessings on blessings
that will walk all through and around
the temple of my love
as long as this life lasts
